Rudraksha is a huge evergreen big leaved tree. Its scientific name is Elaeocarpus Ganitrus and belongs to family Tiliaceae. It is an evergreen tree having almost 36 sister species including rudraksha. Rudraksha is a fast-growing wild plant species. The tree due to its significance is moreover used for its wood for modest furnishings purpose. The fundamental trunk of the rudraksha tree is round and hollow. The bark is grayish-white in color and harsh in surface with vertical lenticels and restricted level wrinkles. The leaves of rudraksha are sparkling green with serrulate edges.

Eco-Factor :
A story states, Lord Shiva was meditating for a profound phase, when he opened his eyes tears fell on the ground. Right where every drop of his tear pertained, Rudraksha tree was grown. Hence the name Rudra- meaning Shiva and Aksh- meaning eyes.
