Alstonia scholaris, regularly known as the dita tree, is an evergreen plant that may grow up to 100 feet tall. It got the nonexclusive name came after botanist, Prof. Alston of Edinburgh. Species name Scholaris alludes to the way that the timber of this tree has customarily been utilized to make wooden records for younger students. The tree has a clingy sap while its flowers are small and greenish-yellow in shading. The fruits are meager but can grow up to 20 inches in length.
